Bachelor
Bachelor in Transport Systems Engineering and Intelligent Management
Programme overview
Study traffic flows, networks, infrastructure and operational organisation. Connect transport data with models and simulation to compare engineering and management options. Advanced study develops dynamic networks, multi-modal coordination, data fusion, optimisation and operational governance.
Automobile & Transports — Paris College of Automotive Science and Transport. Duration: 3 years.
Bachelor study progresses from foundations and guided exercises to integrated applied projects.
Study pathways
Public transport; traffic networks; intelligent transport operations. All pathways share a common core. Indicate your preferred pathway when applying; actual availability is confirmed before admission.
Learning outcomes
Develop transport foundations skills in networks, demand and system components, explaining methods, evidence and limitations.
Develop data methods skills in collection, spatial analysis and statistics, explaining methods, evidence and limitations.
Develop traffic models skills in flows, queues and operational behaviour, explaining methods, evidence and limitations.
Develop simulation calibration skills in scenarios, parameters and validation, explaining methods, evidence and limitations.
Develop intelligent management skills in indicators, scheduling and monitoring, explaining methods, evidence and limitations.
Develop integrated practice skills in public transport or network digital twins, explaining methods, evidence and limitations.
Learning content and competency modules
| Module | Learning content | Assessment evidence |
| Transport foundations | Networks, demand and system components | Problem definition and reasoned analysis |
| Data methods | Collection, spatial analysis and statistics | Reproducible case or model documentation |
| Traffic models | Flows, queues and operational behaviour | Quality and traceability records |
| Simulation calibration | Scenarios, parameters and validation | Comparison of options and testing evidence |
| Intelligent management | Indicators, scheduling and monitoring | Project plan and collaboration records |
| Integrated practice | Public transport or network digital twins | Integrated report and oral defence |
Study progression
Year 1: develop foundations, reading, analytical communication and guided cases.
Year 2: deepen specialist methods through pathway projects and evaluation of results.
Year 3: integrate methods in a final applied project, portfolio and oral defence.
Projects and practice
Build and calibrate a public-transport or traffic-network model against documented data.
Document the problem, working process, personal contribution, validation evidence and limitations. Individual contributions are assessed within team projects. Placements and external projects depend on actual arrangements.
Teaching and assessment
Technical reading, engineering cases, documented exercises and professional simulations develop reasoned analysis and practical judgement.
Assignments, case or laboratory work, staged projects and the final defence assess accuracy, methods, evidence quality, practical reliability and communication. Assessment weightings, reassessment and extension rules are published before teaching begins. Moodle may support resources, assignments, quizzes and feedback; specialist practical activities are assessed separately.
Entry requirements
Provide evidence of secondary education or equivalent study. Bachelor applicants should demonstrate mathematics and basic science foundations. MSc applicants should explain relevant engineering, vehicle, transport or data study. Applicants from other fields are assessed for any additional foundation requirements.
Submit education evidence, transcripts, a CV, a motivation statement and any requested project materials. Teaching language, language evidence and document-translation requirements are published for the intake. Website language does not determine teaching language.
Completion and institutional diploma
Complete the required modules and assessments, final project and oral defence. The programme leads to an institutional Bachelor diploma in Transport Systems Engineering and Intelligent Management.
Career development
Transport data analyst assistant; traffic simulation support; transport operations support. Employment depends on individual skills, experience and employer requirements. Regulated work requires the applicable qualifications and authorisations. Further study is assessed by the receiving institution.
