Bachelor

Bachelor in Automotive Technical Assessment and Investigation Support

Programme overview

Study vehicle technical information, inspection records, repair calculations and technical case documentation. Learn to prepare and review traceable evidence within authorised support responsibilities. Advanced study develops complex electric-vehicle cases, estimate comparison, remote workflows and quality management; it does not itself authorise regulated expert practice.

Automobile & Transports — Paris College of Automotive Science and Transport. Duration: 3 years.

Bachelor study progresses from foundations and guided exercises to integrated applied projects.

Study pathways

Vehicle technical assessment; repair estimates; technical case documentation. All pathways share a common core. Indicate your preferred pathway when applying; actual availability is confirmed before admission.

Learning outcomes

Develop vehicle technology skills in structures, systems and common damage, explaining methods, evidence and limitations.

Develop repair foundations skills in processes, parts and estimates, explaining methods, evidence and limitations.

Develop case preparation skills in documents, photographs and information checks, explaining methods, evidence and limitations.

Develop technical support skills in calculation evidence and supplementary investigation, explaining methods, evidence and limitations.

Develop digital workflows skills in remote cases and records, explaining methods, evidence and limitations.

Develop practical handover skills in complete technical case-support documentation, explaining methods, evidence and limitations.

Study progression

Year 1: develop foundations, reading, analytical communication and guided cases.

Year 2: deepen specialist methods through pathway projects and evaluation of results.

Year 3: integrate methods in a final applied project, portfolio and oral defence.

Projects and practice

Prepare a simulated vehicle assessment case with photographs, inspection records and traceable repair calculations.

Document the problem, working process, personal contribution, validation evidence and limitations. Individual contributions are assessed within team projects. Placements and external projects depend on actual arrangements.

Teaching and assessment

Technical reading, engineering cases, documented exercises and professional simulations develop reasoned analysis and practical judgement.

Assignments, case or laboratory work, staged projects and the final defence assess accuracy, methods, evidence quality, practical reliability and communication. Assessment weightings, reassessment and extension rules are published before teaching begins. Moodle may support resources, assignments, quizzes and feedback; specialist practical activities are assessed separately.

Entry requirements

Provide evidence of secondary education or equivalent study. Bachelor applicants should demonstrate mathematics and basic science foundations. MSc applicants should explain relevant engineering, vehicle, transport or data study. Applicants from other fields are assessed for any additional foundation requirements.

Submit education evidence, transcripts, a CV, a motivation statement and any requested project materials. Teaching language, language evidence and document-translation requirements are published for the intake. Website language does not determine teaching language.

Completion and institutional diploma

Complete the required modules and assessments, final project and oral defence. The programme leads to an institutional Bachelor diploma in Automotive Technical Assessment and Investigation Support.

Career development

Vehicle technical assessment assistant; repair estimate support; technical case documentation. Employment depends on individual skills, experience and employer requirements. Regulated work requires the applicable qualifications and authorisations. Further study is assessed by the receiving institution.
